Regarding my absence

Oh boy, the day has come I get to make one of these journals.
I'll keep things shorts since I don't want to go into personal details too much however.
Basically, the past two years have been quite rough for me. The education (and the work tied to it) I was following basically left me quite depressed due to the way my tutor treated me, causing me to block off contact with most people online with the exception of a few. I'm not talking life threatening depressed, but enough to impact my life quite a bit.
I've since changed college and direction and I've been enjoying things for the past half year now, luckily.
There still are some problems like currently having to get up at 5am to go to college due to being unable to move into a dorm, but even then I'm glad my mental health is way better nowadays.
(Having more than 5 hours of commute time does get rough with how bad the train system can get however XD)
Anyhow, I can't really say I'm back, but I'll be uploading drawings I still had in my backlog to here and Pixiv, as well as commission that I've gathered over time on the latter site. Might take a while since I have a ton of commissions now that aren't on Pixiv yet.
It's kinda too bad Tumblr died during my absence though...
Ah, a side project that got way larger than I expected will be posted in a separate journal. It wasn't meant to become public, but it's gotten so big that I figured others might find it useful.

Now, every Yu-Gi-Oh! series after GX introduced a new Summoning Method along with a new Card and Monster Type, which come with new rules and changes to the game as well.

Rule Changes
Before I start with the new Summoning Mechanic, allow me to show off the new Rules, which will tie into the Mechanic
Extra Monster Zones
You can still play Spell and Traps in them, but they become Pendulum Zones when a Pendulum card is played into them.
This effectively limits your Spell and Trap Zones to 3 if you play Pendulums.
Link Summon and Link Monsters
Link Monsters are new way of bringing out your Extra Deck monsters.
A couple of things to note:
-Link Monsters have NO Levels or Ranks
-Link Monsters have NO Defence
-Link Monsters CANNOT change their Battle Positions, not even by an effect.
-Link Monsters MUST be Summoned to the Extra Monster Zone, unless another Link Monster is Linking an Main Monster Zone
-Link Monsters are summoned by sending the required monsters from the field to the grave, or and/another Link monsters.
-If another Link Monster is sent to the grave for it's summon, the summoning requirements decrease by that monsters Link.
-A Link Monsters Link is shown at the bottom right, where the Defence of other monsters would be shown.
-Link Monsters have Link Markers at the borders of the Card Art
-The Link Markers that are lighted up will sometimes affect it's effect, as well as you Extra Deck Summons
Now, these 'Link Markers' will become vital for any deck that is planning to use Extra Deck Summons.
Basically, The monster card zone a Link Marker points at, can be used to place an Extra Deck Monster in.
This allows Fusion, Synchro, Xyz and Link Monsters to exist outside of the Extra Monster Zones, in your Main Monster Zones.
Effectively, if you don't have a Link Monster, you can only have one Extra Deck Monster on your side of the field at any time.
If you do have one, you can increase your Extra Deck Summons depending on the Link Markers of your Link Monsters.

My Opinion

Basically, this is changing everything I know about the Extra Deck, and I'm not sure I like it yet.
This does HURT a lot of decks that depended on the Extra Deck, like my old Gagaga's...
For now, I'll try it out first when available, but I do not like all these new changes so far.
While it is nice things are getting slowed down, it limits your options severely if you don't use Link Monsters...
The only thins for now I'll say about this, outside of the comment section:
So we Link Joker now?
Extra Monster Zones
Between each player's side of the field, two monster zones now exist.
These 'Extra Monster Zones' are the only place Fusion, Synchro, Xyz AND Link Monsters can be summoned to.
That's right... no more Extra Deck monsters in the old Monster zones, now called the 'Main Monster Zones'
There is only one way around this rule, which ties in with Link Monsters.
(The interaction with Pendulums in your Extra Deck is still unknown at this time).
Extra Deck monsters can still be summoned to the Main Monster Zones from the Graveyard or Banished zone like usual.
Extra Monster Zones and Linked Main Monster Zones don't affect this.
How this affects effects that Special Summon Extra Deck Monsters from the Extra Deck isn't known yet.

Giratina! I failed to capture mine in Diamond, but got one through a trade. Somehow he stayed in my party for months, and he eventually became the first pokemon I've ever raised to level 100.
He is also the perfect fit for a dream of mine... but that one is for myself
4. What is the specification of your PC?(Or name of the device you use to browse internet and answer that question XD)
I have a Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 10, along with a gaming keyboard and a second larger monitor. Not really the specs, but hey, needed to write something XD
5. Cats or Dogs?
I like both actually, but currently my family has a dog.
6. Your favourite story on DA(It doesn't have to be one of mine of course XD)?
7. Are there things that can completely ruin anime series for you?(For example, rape as backstory, or annoying fandom of the series?)
This might sound strange coming from me, but...
Ecchi when it isn't the focus or at unnecessarily timing. Though there are a few ecchi anime that got so over the top that I dropped it despite it being the focus.
(I do like ecchi anime though)
8. What's the best way to control games?(Mouse+keyboard, Xbox One controller, PS4 controller, PS3 controller etc.)
Hmm, I don't really play games that much...
I grew up with a Playstation 2, so I really like that controller. Though Keyboard and Mouse are pro due to rebinding stuff and all.
9. What's your favourite genre of video games?
Ace Attorney! I really like the serious goofiness it has, and especially having to solve cases and all.
I also like the idea of playing a lawyer and trying to prove people innocent, instead of sending people to jail each and every game.
(Well... that does happen a lot here too though XD)
10. What was your first gaming device?(PC, Gameboy, SNES, cheap ripoff of NES, etc.)
Playstation 2.
Back when I was small, mobile providers got crazy with the free stuff you could get if you signed up with them.
So do to this, I got a free Playstation 2, a controller, Ratchet and Clank 3, Jack and Dexter 3 AND a freaking tv (not a small one either) just because my parents signed up for one mobile contract XD
11. I'm seriously out of ideas here... if you could pair Hakane(My OC) with any character(Female or male, from anime, movie, cartoon, video game, TV Show, your OCs... whatever), who could it be and why? It doesn't need to be romantic pairing, it might be just some character you think she would really get along with!

12. Who is the stupidest(But not necessarily hated) character you ever seen in anime/manga/videogames/cartoons?(And I mean stupid in a bad way, not the funny one. Like for example Sayaka in Madoka Magica... who I won't say what she does because it would be a spoiler, but she could easily prevent it if only she could use her brain once in a while...)
Probably Yuma from Zexal. He always goes in heads first without thinking, acting on emotion only. While this can be cool and all, it caused him quite some unneeded troubles.
For me, he is the largest let-down out of all the protagonists.
13. Um, seriously scrapping bottom of the barrel here... What's your favourite yuri(lesbian) shipping? It can be totally random made-up crossover, like Erza(From FT) X Princess Rosalina(From Mario), something that's likely but never confirmed like Mami(From Madoka Magica) X Kyouko(Also from Madoka Magica), or something totally canon.

It was a rather quiet late afternoon at the Duel Academy. Sadie was standing behind the counter of the Academy's card shop. It was a rather slow day, and currently no one aside from her was in there. Ms. Dorothy went on vacation, so since few days Sadie was the only person working in the shop. Usually it wasn't a very tiring job, however today a new shipment of card packs arrived to the store. Sadie knew that working alone, it will probably take her whole night to unpack all the boxes and place them on shelves, she couldn't help but feel a bit down about it. At this moment the shop door have opened, and a familiar blue haired girl wearing her Slifer Red vest and boots entered. Her name was Blair Flannigan.
"Hi Sadie! Have the new cards arrived already?"Blair said cheerfully
"Oh, hi Blair! Well... they are still in boxes, but hopefully until tomorrow I will somehow manage to place them on shelves..."Replied Sadie
